THYRO colheita tardia 2020 Douro

Intense aroma of dried fruits and honey with slight hints of orange. Slightly golden in colour. In the mouth it is balanced, smooth, with moderate acidity and great complexity. Made from white grape varieties that are very prone to rotting due to Botrytis cinerea, a fungus that appears when moisture leaves the grapes and deposits it around the berry. Known as “noble rot”, it works especially well with grape varieties such as Semillon, known in Portugal as Bual or Boal.
