Ladeira da Santa Grande Reserva Encruzado 2023 Dão

Crafted under the guidance of winemaker João Cunha, this white wine originates from a transitional zone where granite soils gradually give way to schist. Fermentation took place at low temperatures, and the wine was aged in French oak barrels: half of the blend for one year and the other half for six months. On the nose, it is deliberately restrained rather than exuberant — a hallmark of the Encruzado grape — revealing delicate floral notes beautifully integrated with subtle oak nuances. On the palate, it is rich and intense, showcasing the remarkable balance that defines this variety: generous volume and texture contrasted by vibrant, refreshing acidity.
