Niepoort Nat Cool douro branco dourado 2024 Douro

A luminous amber‑gold white from Niepoort’s Nat Cool project, born from a playful challenge to craft a skin‑contact white in the Douro. It begins with gentle maceration on whole bunches in lagar, followed by spontaneous fermentation and one year ageing on fine lees in cement, resulting in inviting aromas of wild honey, dried apricot and orange zest. On the palate it is silky and textural yet lively, with fresh acidity and a touch of saline precision that leads to a long, harmonious and refreshing finish. Perfect for sharing with mezze, grilled seafood or intensity‑driven cheeses.
